140 Noe 771 10 User Manual
I'm trying to setup communications between plc and a network switch (the switch is on a particular noetwork at our site)
I'm using a NOE 771 11 (modicon quantum card) and the CPU is a 130 CPU 113 03S. There are a few input and out put cards on the same rack.
the connection from the network to NOE is made using a combination of fibre/media converter and cat6, the distance between the too is about 500mts approx, the issue i m having is on the NOE it shows a fault and the Run flashes 3 times which on the manual says no link or damaged cable in the connection, i have unplugged the cat6 from the now and hooked it into a laptop, i have tried pinging other Noes on the network for other PLC's and im able to do so, i have also gone the other way round and pinged this laptop from another machine, this tells me that the connection is good however the NOE run flashes 3 times hence status there is a problem with the link
We use concept program and i have changed the config extensions under Ethernet I/Oscanner

the subnet and gateway is same to that of the network, the fact that when i have a laptop connected on that end tells me that there is no issues with IP and gateway etc
i have tried changing the NOE card out and there's been no change
I think there is some other setting which i'm unaware of what to change
this plc is not linked or not talking to any other plc so no need for any comms blocks in concept
Done a full download on the plc
i might try changing out the CPU to a newer one but any other ideas that you guys may have would me much appreciated, Thanks
